All other volunteers will be told by their coordinator how training and uniform distribution will be done.
Marshals, Tournament Security (Golf Course only), Event Security (Fri and Sat events only) and Standard Bearer Training
This year we are holding two training sessions for Marshals, Tournament Security, Event Security, and Standard Bearers all in the same location at the same time, and one additional Marshals- and Standard Bearers-only training session (held at Bobbitt Design Build, Inc.). Other committees will meet on their own schedule.
Marshals, Tournament Security, Event Security, and Standard Bearers must attend one of the following training sessions, held at the Carolina Preserve clubhouse at 115 Allforth Place in Cary, NC (see directions below)
- Saturday, July 16, 2011 at 8:00 am
- Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at 6:30 pm
- Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at 6:30 pm (Marshals and Standard Bearers training ONLY)
- Bobbitt Design Build, Inc.
- Training Room
- 600 Germantown Road
- Enter the gated area in the rear. The door will be identified.
Uniforms will be distributed at that time. Each committee will meet in its own meeting room in the Clubhouse.
- Marshals in Grand Ballroom 1 (room 231) (except for August 23rd training)
- Standard Bearers in Grand Ballroom 2 (room 232) (except for August 23rd training)
- Tournament Security (Golf Course only) in Grand Ballroom 3 (room 233)
- Event Security (Friday and Saturday events only) in Grand Ballroom 3 (room 233)
Spectator Hosts Training
Spectator Hosts Training will also be held at the Carolina Preserve clubhouse at 115 Allforth Place in Cary, NC (see directions below). Spectator Hosts must attend the following training:
- Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at 6:30 pm (Room TBD)
Celebrity Hosts Training
- Monday, August 22, 2011 at 6:00 pm at the David Allen Company (directions coming)
Courtesy Car and Other Transportation Pick-Up

Sponsor Host Training
Sponsor host training will be scheduled by the Division Manager and will be communicated via email.
Directions to the clubhouse at Carolina Preserve:
From I-40 East/Durham and Chapel Hill:
- Take 540 west toward Cary/Apex and follow to the end
- Exit onto Hwy. 55 (exit 66A)
- Turn right onto McCrimmon Parkway.
- Follow McCrimmon Pkwy (turns into Del Webb Ave.) to Carolina Preserve. Clubhouse is on the left.
From I-40 West and Raleigh:
- Take 540 West toward Cary/Apex and follow to end
- Exit onto Hwy. 55 (exit 66A)
- Turn right onto McCrimmon Parkway.
- Follow McCrimmon Pkwy (turns into Del Webb Ave.) to Carolina Preserve. Clubhouse is on the left.
From Cary/Apex:
- Take US 64 West
- Exit onto Hwy. 55 West, toward Durham
- Turn left onto McCrimmon Parkway.
- Follow McCrimmon Pkwy (turns into Del Webb Ave.) to Carolina Preserve. Clubhouse is on the left.

From 1-40 East or West:
- Take exit 293 and merge onto US-1 S/US-64 W and drive 3.9 miles
- Take exit 98B and merge onto US-64 W toward Asheboro/Pittsboro and drive 0.5 miles
- Turn left at Edinburgh S. Drive
- Go 0.2 miles to 130 Edinburgh S. Dr. Our office is in suite 102
