Volunteer Parking and Shuttle Schedule
Volunteer Parking will be available at both main Classic locations: Lonnie Poole Golf Course at NC State’s Centennial Campus, and Raleigh Convention Center. Here’s what you need to know:Centennial Campus Volunteer Parking — Saturday, August 27, and Sunday, August 28
Volunteer parking for Saturday, August 27, and Sunday August 28 will be the large lot toward the end of Capability drive on Centennial Campus. Look for the V signage at the entrance to the lot. Shuttles will take you to the golf course and return you to the volunteer parking lot.
Shuttle Schedule:
- Saturday — 7:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. (using SUVs)
- Sunday — 7:00 a.m. to 7 p.m. (using two buses at peak times, otherwise SUVs during the day)
Directions to the volunteer lot at Capability Drive
- Via I-440 Beltline: Take I-440 to Western Blvd, exiting East toward downtown Raleigh and NC State. Take Western Blvd to Avent Ferry Rd. Turn right onto Avent Ferry. Continue to Varsity Drive (2nd light). Turn left onto Varsity Dr., entering Centennial Campus. Take first right onto Capability Dr. Volunteer lot is 2nd major parking lot on the right.
- Via I-40: Take I-40 to Lake Wheeler Rd. Head North on Lake Wheeler toward the Farmer’s Market and Downtown Raleigh. At the next light, turn left onto Centennial Parkway (toward Farmer’s Market) Continue on Centennial to next light (Achievement Dr.). Turn left onto Achievement. At the end of the road, turn right onto Main Campus Dr. (this is the main road for Centennial Campus). At next intersection, turn left onto Campus Shore Dr. At the end of Campus Shore, turn right onto Capability Dr. Volunteer lot is 1st parking lot on the left.

Raleigh Convention Center Volunteer Parking — Friday, August 26, and Saturday, August 27
Volunteer parking for Friday, August 26, and Saturday, August 27 will be the “G” lot used by RCC employees. Lot “G” is on South Street in downtown Raleigh, across from the McDowell St/South Street parking deck. The lot is accessed from South Street, or from Kindly St. off South Salisbury Street. If that lot is full, there may also be parking available at the deck on Gale Street at West Cabbarrus Street.
Directions to Lot “G” for Raleigh Convention Center
- Via I-40: Via I-40: Take I-40 to South Saunders Street exit (298B). Turn right at the bottom of the exit ramp, toward downtown Raleigh. Continue on South Saunders Street until it splits into McDowell and South Saunders. Bear right onto McDowell Street , continuing past the Western Blvd exit until you get to Lenoir Street. Turn left onto Lenoir St., then left again onto Dawson St., then left again onto South Street. Then turn right into the gravel/grass parking lot on your right, before the railroad bridge. This is "Lot G”.
