2010 Training Schedule

All other volunteers will be told by their coordinator how training and uniform distribution will be done.

Marshals, Tournament Security (Golf Course only), and Standard Bearer Training

This year we are holding training for Marshals, Tournament Security, and Standard Bearers all in the same location at the same time. Other committees will meet on their own schedule.

Marshals, Tournament Security, and Standard Bearers must attend one of the following training sessions, held at the Carolina Preserve clubhouse at 115 Allforth Place in Cary, NC (see directions below)

• Saturday, July 17, 2010 at 10:00 am
• Monday, August 2, 2010 at 6:30 pm

Uniforms will be distributed at that time. Each committee will meet in its own meeting room in the Clubhouse.

Marshals in Grand Ballroom 1 (room 231)

Standard Bearers in Grand Ballroom 2 (room 232)

Tournament Security (Golf Course only) in Grand Ballroom 3 (room 233)

Event Security (Wed/Fri/Sat events only)

Spectator Hosts Training

Spectator Hosts Training will be held at the Jimmy V Celebrity Golf Classic office at 130 Edinburgh South Dr., Suite 102 in Cary (see directions below):

Celebrity Hosts Training

Celebrity Host training is Monday, August 16 at 6:00 pm at the David Allen Company office. Agenda will be presentation of updated information, distribute volunteer information packets, uniforms, name badges, and celebrity assignments.

MANDATORY – you must attend this meeting:

Courtesy Car and Other Transportation Pick-Up

Last meeting before events, distribution of courtesy cars and other vehicles, final updates before the weekend

MANDATORY – you must attend one of these meetings if you will be driving a courtesy vehicle.

• Thursday, August 19 at Embassy Car Rental at RDU Airport
• Friday, August 20 at Embassy Car Rental at RDU Airport

Sponsor Host Training

Sponsor host training will be scheduled by the Division Manager and will be communicated via email.

From I-40 East/Durham and Chapel Hill:

• Take 540 west toward Cary/Apex and follow to the end
• Exit onto Hwy. 55 (exit 66A)
• At the 2nd light turn right onto Carpenter Fire Station Rd.
• Follow detour signs, turning right onto Green Level Church Rd
• Turn left onto McCrimmon Parkway.
• Follow McCrimmon Pkwy (turns into Del Webb Ave.) to Carolina Preserve. Clubhouse is on the left.

From I-40 West and Raleigh:

• Take 540 West toward Cary/Apex and follow to end
• Exit onto Hwy. 55 (exit 66A)
• At the 2nd light turn right onto Carpenter Fire Station Rd.
• Follow detour signs, turning right onto Green Level Church Rd
• Turn left onto McCrimmon Parkway.

From Cary/Apex:

• Take US 64 West
• Exit onto Hwy. 55 West, toward Durham
• Take Hwy 55 about 5.3 miles to Carpenter Fire Station Rd
• At the light turn left onto Carpenter Fire Station Rd
• Follow detour signs, turning right onto Green Level Church Rd
• Turn left onto McCrimmon Parkway.
• Follow McCrimmon Pkwy (turns into Del Webb Ave.) to Carolina Preserve. Clubhouse is on the left.
