The 2010 Jimmy V Celebrity Golf Classic will be held August 22, at the Lonnie Poole Golf Course on NC State's Centennial Campus

This year, there are many ways to experience the Classic up close. In addition to attending the Classic on Sunday, you can participate by buying tickets to the reverse raffle or the Cruise to Key West and V Gala events, as well as attend the FREE Symposium. See our "Events" page for ways to participate in these events.

See the information below for the Sunday Classic golf event:

Gates will open for spectators at 8:30 am on Sunday. Shotgun start begins at 9:00 am

Driving Directions   

Via I-440 Beltline:

Take I-440 to Western Blvd, exiting East toward downtown Raleigh and NC State. Take Western Blvd to Avent Ferry Road. Turn right onto Avent Ferry. Continue to Varsity Drive (2nd light). Turn left onto Varsity Drive, entering Centennial Campus. Spectator parking is 2nd street on the right.

Via I-40:

Take I-40 to Lake Wheeler Road Head North on Lake Wheeler toward the Farmer’s Market and Downtown Raleigh. At the next light, turn left onto Centennial Parkway (toward Farmer’s Market) Continue on Centennial, turning left onto Loop Road. Then turn right onto Main Campus Drive Spectator parking is on the left, down Varsity Drive.


Parking

There is no public parking at the golf course. Spectator parking is available on Centennial Campus.

For those entering from Varsity Drive, take the 2nd right (Venture Center way) off Varsity to the parking deck adjacent to the Venture buildings.

For those entering from Loop Rd. via Centennial Parkway, take Main Campus Drive to Varsity; then right on Varsity; then left onto Venture Center Way to the parking deck there.

Look for the signs to help guide you.


Shuttle buses

Shuttle buses will operate between all parking lots and the golf course. Shuttles will run from 8:30am to 5:30pm.


Tickets

Tickets are $5 each and can be purchased at TicketMaster or by calling (919) 834-4000.


Concessions

Beverage-only concessions will be available on course. Food may be purchased at the Lonnie Poole clubhouse.


What to bring

Bringing the following items will give you the best chance to have a great time at the Jimmy V Celebrity Golf Classic:

  • Comfortable walking shoes
  • Camera
  • Autograph book
  • Cash for food, beverages, or souveniers
