About the Event
This event will enable tennis enthusiasts from around the Triangle a chance to play and receive instruction from ATP & WTA World Class Playing Professionals like Don Johnson, 2001 Wimbledon Men's Doubles Champion and collegiate Tennis Hall of Fame inductee.
Past tennis champions who participated in the event include:
- Tennis legend Stan Smith
- Former #1 player in the world, six times Grand Slam Doubles Champion and US Davis Cup Star Rick Leach
- 2001 Wimbledon Men's Doubles Champion and US Davis Cup star Jared Palmer
- 2000 Wimbledon Mixed Doubles Champion (with Don Johnson) and former WTA Top Ten Singles player Kimberly Po
- North Carolina Hall of Fame and former Top 20 ATP Player Tim Wilkison
The Racquets for Research will include a Pro-AM Division where each team will be divided and matched up with a tennis Champion for competition. This is your chance to experience playing with World Class Playing Professionals!
