Last minute preparations for the Volunteer kickoff at Jillians on Saturday. Lots of info via the links on the right. We'll be there 12 to 3. We have about 80 people coming so far. Come by and challenge one of the management team to a game. I bet we play a wicked Pac-man!

Hot off the presses: the 2006 Volunteer pin has been designed and the first proof is in. What do you think? We are getting 1000 made so if you want one, sign up and you'll have that and more. A preview of the volunteer shirts will be posted to the web site soon.

Summerlike temps for the weekend (did I hear 90?) seem to be in store for us in Raleigh. One task we had to complete before summer was selecting the site of our V Gala for the Classic due to the razing of the old Civic Center. The choice: RBC Center! Finally, the chance for some of us to be on the court in front of thousands. Who cares if they are all empty seats? You can read more about the selection and decorating strategies in an upcoming newsletter article. You do read those, don't you? It really does pay.

Hi all.. Recruiting is the name of the game today. While we are not out recruiting a new coach, we are recruiting volunteers. We have over 75 volunteers already signed up, which is a good start. We will be trying for some NC State students and fans by being at the NC State football spring game on Saturday (April 8). If you are going, or know someone who is, have them come drop by and pick up an application. Have a great weekend!
